A bat used by former New York Yankees first baseman and DH Jason Giambi during the early 2000s. The Louisville Slugger model G174 shows outstanding signs of wear with heavy pine tar in the handle and ball strikes and paint transfers throughout the barrel. The item is cracked but remains intact. Giambi began his career with the Oakland Athletics, winning the American League MVP Award in 2000. He would later join the Yankees on a major free agent deal in 2002. A five-time All-Star, Giambi retired from the sport following the 2014 season, finishing with 440 career home runs.
