Plaque awarded to Jim Palmer for his outstanding 1971 season on the mound for the Baltimore Orioles. Wood backing is shaped like home plate, measures 12" across to approximately 15" at the tip. A plate on top is engraved, "To - Jim Palmer - on the occasion of an outstanding season with the 1971 Baltimore Orioles - 20 Wins - 9 Losses - Presented by The Oriole Advocates, Inc. - December 11, 1971." This comes from the Hall of Famer's personal collection and does have some nicks and dings, presents in VG condition. Interestingly, only six pitchers are named in the '71 Cy Young balloting and, while his name is not among them, Palmer's stats compare favorably in various categories to all but eventual winner Vida Blue.
