Rare full ticket issued for the heavyweight title bout between champion Jack Johnson and "Fireman" Jim Flynn in Las Vegas, New Mexico, on July 4, 1912. Graded EX 5 by PSA. This is one of only two full examples of this ticket graded at this level by PSA, with NONE graded higher. Its scarcity is emphasized by the fact that it is also just one of nine such examples listed in the PSA Population Report. The attractive ticket features portrait images of both fighters and makes note that the bout is scheduled for "45 Rounds." Johnson did not need the full 45 rounds to dispatch Flynn. In what was a foul-plagued bout, Johnson dominated Flynn for eight rounds before Flynn was disqualified in the ninth for repeated head butting. All full fight tickets from this era are scarce and those issued for Jack Johnson bouts are rarer still. This is an exceptional high grade rarity and one that would be among the highlights of any advanced boxing ticket or Jack Johnson collection. 8.25x2.25".
