A hand-painted Dovetail Bats Model PA-200XR-B-Pro XR bat used by New York Mets First Baseman Pete Alonso during the 2023 Home Run Derby. The bat is painted in blue and orange with several inscriptions and pictures. The player has signed the item, inscribing, "Back to Back HR Derby Champ," "2017 NL ROY MLB Rookie HR Record 53." The bat shows signs of excellent use with ball marks along the barrel. The lot will include a Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have assigned a grade of GU10. The bat also includes an MLB hologram sticker and is photo-matched to the event (Getty 1521290537). Alonso, a two-time home run derby champion was going for his third title in 2023. The derby was eventually won by Julio Rodriguez from the Seattle Mariners. Alonso would still put on a fine showing, hitting two balls more than 450 feet. Alonso has made the All-Star Game four times and recently passed Mike Piazza on the Mets' all-time home run list.  Also comes with PSA LOA for autograph.
