This framed display commemorating the career of Hall of Fame second baseman Eddie Collins is highlighted by the original artwork used to produce Collins' 2003 Topps Gallery card #13. The artwork (7.25x9.25" visible dimensions), which pictures Collins in a batting pose, is signed by artist D. J. Brown in the lower right corner. This piece was obtained directly from The Topps Vault and is accompanied by a COA from the company. The artwork is matted and framed with the following items: 1) Original Type I photograph, taken by noted baseball photographer George Grantham Bain, capturing Collins as a member of the Chicago White Sox in 1916. The photo (4x6") displays a staple hole in the upper right corner and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Encapsulated by PSA as Type I Authentic (a photocopy of the photo in the PSA holder accompanies the display). 2) Cut signature of Eddie Collins inscribed "Eddie Collins/Phila. Athletics" in blue fountain. PSA has encapsulated the cut and graded the signature NM 7. 3x1.75". EX. 3) 2003 Topps Gallery #13 Eddie Collins card. Apparent Mint condition.
