Pair of Baltimore Colts souvenirs commemorating the club's back-to-back World Championships in 1958 and 1959. To the best of our knowledge, these pieces were issued to team members and front office personnel only, and were not available for purchase by fans. That limited distribution almost certainly explains their scarcity today. The first is a large porcelain plate (10.5" in diameter) featuring the team logo in the center, below which is lettered "1958 World Champions/Colts 23 - Giants 17." The facsimile signatures of the Baltimore players are displayed along the perimeter. The second piece is a matching porcelain cup and saucer. The cup features the same team logo on one side, below which is lettered "1959 World Champions/Colts 31 - Giants 16." The facsimile signatures of fifteen team members decorate the exterior. The saucer features the same team logo and additional facsimile signatures of team members. Each piece was produced by Balfour of Attleboro, Massachusetts, with the company's hallmark appearing on the underside of both the plate and saucer. The plate displays light-to-moderate crazing, otherwise all the pieces remain in Excellent to Mint condition.
