Presented is the opportunity to possess a Hank Aaron signed Atlanta Braves home, nostalgic jersey. The Hall of Fame right fielder played 23 seasons in the Major Leagues: Milwaukee Braves (1954-65), Atlanta Braves (1966-74), Milwaukee Brewers (1975-76). His best season was in 1957 when he led the Braves to a World Championship. That year he batted .322 with 44 home runs and 132 RBIs as he won the NL MVP. Aaron was a superb all-around player. He was a 3-time Gold Glove winner, stole 240 bases, and had a lifetime batting average of .305, with 3,771 hits. He passed Babe Ruth to become at that time the player with the most career home runs (715) as he homered off the Los Angeles Dodgers' Al Downing in Atlanta on April 8, 1974. He finished his career with 755 home runs. Even though Aaron's lifetime homer record has been surpassed by other players, his popularity as a player who hit his home runs before the "Steroid Era" makes him, in the eyes of many fans, the "People's Home Run King." The beautiful, offered jersey is from the MLB Cooperstown Collection. In the collar is a Mitchell & Ness manufacturer's tag. The left front outside tail has a Cooperstown Collection tag. Across the chest is "Braves" in red script with navy blue trim. Under the team's name on the front is a Braves tomahawk. On the left sleeve is a Braves Warrior emblem. Red and navy blue piping is around the neck, down the front, and on each sleeve. A working zipper runs down the middle. On back is "44" in 8.25" tall numerals red with navy blue trim. On the rear interior tail is a tag that shows the jersey to be 65% acrylic and 35% wool, and also indicates the size as "M" [for medium]. Aaron signed the jersey on the right chest, neatly scripted in fine tip blue marker. The jersey is in EXCELLENT condition. The offering comes with a PSA LOA for the signature.
