An 1893 classic cabinet photo of iconic boxer James J. Corbett. The 7.375x13" image is in black-and-white and features the boxer in a classic pose. The image was copyrighted by the Morrison Company in Chicago. The piece features a signature in the bottom left-hand corner though it has not been authenticated. The photo is in fine shape with some rounding on the corners and slight paper loss. Corbett, who boxed from 1884-1903 and had a career record of 24-4, is often referred to as the father of modern boxing. He passed away in 1933 at the age of 66.
