Presented is a 1947 Bill Zuber Boston Red Sox short print collection of ten (10) Tip-Top Bread cards. Zuber pitched for 11 Major League seasons: Cleveland Indians (1936-47), Washington Senators (1941-42), New York Yankees (1943-46), Boston Red Sox (1946-47). He had a 43-42 lifetime record, and he was a member of the 1943 Cleveland Indians World Champions. The offered premium player card measures 2.25x3". The front reads, "Bill Zuber/Pitcher, Boston A.L." The back has advertising copy, and it reads, in part, "After school make a 'home run' for TIP-TOP." There is also a notice to collectors: "There are 15 photos of your favorite players in this club group. Should you get duplicate photos (two or more of the same player) trade cards until you have the complete set." The cards exhibit varying degrees of toning. There is also some light corner scuffing. Considering the over 75-year-old age of the photo cards, they are in nice condition, and they hearken back to the post-World War II days of the Red Sox in what was still a two-team Major League city. Overall GD to VG condition.
