An Oakland A's batting helmet used by third baseman Sal Bando during the 1970s. The all-yellow helmet with the A's logo in green is a size 7 made by ABC and supplied by KM Pro and shows nice signs of use. Bando's number 6 has been written under the brim and the player has signed the brim. The yellow batting helmets were only used for a short period of time making this a relatively rare item. Bando was the captain of the A's early 1970s teams that won 3 consecutive World Series Championships from 1972-74. The third baseman was named to four All-Star teams over the course of his career before retiring after the 1981 season. He is a member of both the Oakland A's Hall of Fame as well as the Milwaukee Brewers Wall of Honor.
