A saddle used by legendary jockey Angel Cordero, who won more than 6,000 races over the course of his career. The white saddle features significant signs of wear with cracks throughout the leather and the stirrups on either side show heavy use. The jockey's initials are written in capital letters on either side. Cordero won the Kentucky Derby in three different years; 1974 (riding Cannonade) 1976 (riding Bold Forbes), and 1985 (riding Spend A Buck). In 1988, the jockey was inducted into the United States Racing Hall of Fame, the first Puerto Rican to be so honored. This is an incredible opportunity to take home an important piece of memorabilia from one of horse racing's greatest jockeys.
