Offered is a multi-sport and pop culture/event ticket collection. Included in this lot is a nice assortment of tickets from various sports and events (mostly in the NYC area) dating from 1936 to 1998. Many of the tickets included in the lot are proofs as there are hole punches or missing seat/row numbers. Highlights of the collection include a ticket from David Wells' Perfect Game in 1998 (autographed by Wells), a 1942 Franklin D. Roosevelt Washington Lions hockey pass (void), a 1936 Olympic tryouts ticket (Jesse Owens), a 1975 Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Bugner closed-circuit ticket, a ticket from a 1947 Jack Kramer vs. Bobby Riggs tennis match, and a 1992 Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson ticket. Other tickets include 2 six-day bicycle race tickets (1939), 4 World's Fair tickets (3 from 1939, 1 from 1940), and 1 World's Fair monorail ticket (1964-65). Collegiate sports tickets include a 1942 Army vs. Navy basketball ticket, and a 1942 Missouri vs. Fordham football ticket. There are also several oddball tickets such as a county fair ticket (1941), Macy's Father's Day Sports Parade (1941), U.S. Army Ground Forces show (1945), Boxing Writing Association Annual Dinner (1943 and 1951), Atlantic City Senators basketball ticket booklet of 6 tickets (1948), Sonja Henie ticket (1951), and perhaps the most unusual ticket in the lot, an "Annual Smoker" ticket (1935). The Tyson vs. Holyfield ticket is the largest in the lot and measures 3.38x8.25".
