A Louisville Slugger Bobby Murcer model W215 bat used by teammate Roy White during the 1973 season. The 35.0" long, 34.6 ounce bat shows amazing signs of use with white tape on the handle, heavy pine tar stains, and ball marks all along the barrel. The bat comes from the collection of Barry Halper, and Murcer has signed the bat, "To Barry, My Pal." The item will also come with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA and the service has assigned the bat a grade of GU8. Murcer had the unenviable task of following in the footsteps of Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle, but had a fine career himself, hitting 252 career home runs and making five All-Star teams.
