In 1997, The Easton Press published a six-volume limited-edition series of books, each written by one or more noted United States astronauts. What made the series special is that each individual volume was hand-numbered and signed on the limitation page by one or more of the respective astronauts. Presented here is the complete six-volume collection of books issued in that series, each bearing the limitation number "480/3,000." Each book is beautifully bound in black leather, with gilt edges and silk bookmarks, and is accompanied by an individual COA from The Easton Press. The collection consists of the following titles: Countdown: An Autobiography by Frank Borman (signed by Borman); We Seven by the Astronauts Themselves (signed by Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper and John Glenn); Schirra's Space by Walter Schirra (signed by Schirra); Men from Earth by Buzz Aldrin and Malcolm McConnell (signed by Aldrin); Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by Jim Lovell (signed by Lovell); and Moon Shot: The Inside Story of America's Race to the Moon by Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton (signed by Shepard). The signatures, scripted in blue ink, range from 8/10 to 10/10. Each book remains in Excellent to Mint condition.
