Pair of circa 1960s Hawthorne Mickey Mantle endorsed youth catcher's shin guards, with one of the shin guards signed by Mickey Mantle. While we have seen other examples of these scarce shin guards, this is the first pair we have ever seen signed by Mantle, making them especially desirable for advanced Mantle collectors. Mantle has signed one of the shin guards in blue marker on the orange knee-cap protector, with the signature grading 9/10. The pair of shin guards (model #60-4140), which feature Mantle's facsimile signature on each piece, display heavy wear commensurate with their former use. Very Good condition overall.
