A set of (5) one-of-a-kind photo negatives of baseball Hall of Famers. Each of the negatives is 5x7" and could be used to create clear and fine prints nearly 100 years later. The subjects from the photos include catcher Bill Dickey, catcher Gabby Hartnett, second baseman Billy Herman, second baseman Tony Lazzeri, and umpire Bill Klem. The negatives were originally taken by the camera of George Burke. The photographs of Burke, who Babe Ruth said was his favorite photographer, are still sought after by collectors today. Please note: the positive images seen on our website are for illustrative purposes only and do not accompany the negatives; only the negatives are offered in this lot.
