A plaque awarded to Nate Thurmond for making the 1962-63 Chuck Taylor All-American Team. Thurmond, who played for Bowling Green State University, was named to the second team after averaging 19.9 points and 16.7 rebounds a game. The plaque features the names of other players who were named to the team that season including Walt Hazzard and Paul Silas. Thurmond would go on to an outstanding career, mostly with the Golden State Warriors, making 7 All-Star teams. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985.
