Lot of 15 Jack Lambert owned trophies and plaques from his personal collection. Included in this lot are trophies and plaques dating back to Lambert's high school, college, and NFL days. Among the earliest trophies in this collection are high school baseball trophies from 1969 and 1970. The 1969 trophy is 12" high and has a gold-colored metal plate on the wooden base that reads, "1969, Crestwood H. S., 3 Year award, 1969." A baseball player figurine is at the top of the trophy, with the bat missing. Lambert signed the side of the wooden base of the trophy on the right side and included "C. H. S." on the left side of the base. The 1970 baseball trophy measures 15" tall. The text on the silver metal plate on the marble base of the trophy reads, "Fourth Year, Jack Lambert." The top of the marble is signed with the "C. H. S." inscription. Also from Lambert's high school days is a 1969 football trophy, and a 1969-70 basketball trophy. The football trophy is 10.5" high and autographed in gold. "Record Courier, P. C. L., All Stars 1969" is etched into the metal plate at the base of the trophy. A 12.5" basketball trophy, similar in appearance to the football trophy, except that there is a basketball player on top, is also signed with the "C. H. S." inscription. The metal plate at the base of the trophy reads, "Record Courier, P. C. L. All Stars, 1969-70." There are six items in the lot that are Kent State-related. First a football trophy identified as "19-K. S. U. 71, Alumni Award, Outstanding Sophomore" by the text etched into the gold-colored metal plate at the base of the trophy. There is a figurine of a football player throwing the ball at the top of the trophy. Lambert autographed the wooden pedestal at the top of the trophy, and included "#99" next to his name. A white marble pen holder and clock item is also included. Lambert won this award for "Outstanding Lineman, K. S. U. Spring Game, 1971" as is written on the gold-colored metal plate glued to the marble base. The top of the marble slab that includes the clock is signed by Lambert in gold Sharpie. There is a figurine of a football player to the left of the clock, and a pen holder to the right (the pen is missing from the display). Also included is a 9x6" wooden plaque that reads "Kent State University, 1973" at the top of a silver and black metal photo attached to the plaque. Lambert is in the photo along with teammates Eddie Woodland and Gary Pinkel. Lambert signed the photo and included "HOF 90." The photo is printed on a thin sheet of metal that includes some scratches and dents. It is also coming apart from the wooden plaque on the right side. Jack Lambert's Kent State blazer buttons are also included in the lot. The four small buttons are about the size of a dime, and the three larger buttons are about the size of a nickel. They are gold and blue, and each has "Kent State University, Kent Ohio" printed on the face. The buttons are kept neatly in a 4.75"x3.75" plastic case that's been signed by Lambert with his #99, in gold Sharpie. Also on the case is printed text that reads, "Blazer Buttons with Your School Crest, 18 Karat Gold Plate." The highlight of the Kent State part of the collection is probably Lambert's Tangerine Bowl Most Valuable Lineman trophy. The trophy is 19" high, and the wooden base is 11.5"x6.5". Details of the game are etched on a black plate (3.25"x8"), and read: "Tangerine Bowl, Football Game, Most Valuable Lineman, December 29, 1972, Kent State vs. University of Tampa, Presented by Sentinel Star Company, Orlando, Florida." The wooden base of the trophy was signed, "Jack Lambert #99" in gold Sharpie. The last Kent state-related trophy is from 1980. It measures 18.5" tall and 11" wide. The wooden base is 11x5" and has been signed in gold ink by Lambert, along with #99." There is a blue metal plate at the top of the trophy with the following text etched into the plate: Presented to Jack Lambert, In recognition of your many contributions to Kent State University." Another plate below reads, "The Athletic Department, October 10, 1980." One of the most unique items of the collection is a 10" tall football-shaped wooden trophy that has a metal plate at the base that reads: "Jack H. Lambert, In appreciation of your visit, Clark AB, Philippines, March 1976." Lambert signed the side of the football in gold, and included "1977 USO Tour." A 6x4" metal plated plaque is also included. The text on the plaque reads: "To Jack Lambert, Charter Life Member, Crestwood, Athletic Boosters, October 10, 1980." The back is autographed in black ink, and Lambert included "HOF 90." From 1980 is a pen holder white marble display. The marble base is 10" wide and 2" deep. A piece of square marble (4x4") is at the center of the display and has the following etched onto a black metal plate: "Jack Lambert, Enshrined in the 'Hall of Fame West' in Massillon, Ohio on August 4, 1990. Jack Gorius, Director." Lambert signed the top of the marble in gold ink. There are two "oddball" items in the lot. The first is a wooden slab, shaped like a trapezoid (12x4") that includes the following text, "Silver Anniversary Super Bowl Team." The Super Bowl XXV and NFL logo appear above the text. Lambert signed the top of the piece and included "HOF 90." The second miscellaneous item is what appears to be a wooden box top, with two hinges attached to it. The piece measures 10x5". A silver-colored metal plate is attached to the front and reads, "Jack Lambert, Inside Linebacker." The top is signed, "Jack Lambert HOF '90." Overall, the trophies are in very good condition.
