Presented is a vintage, Boston Red Sox team-issued quilted jacket, most likely from the 1970s. In the decade, the Red Sox finished in the top three teams in the American League in each season, winning the pennant in 1975, and losing an iconic World Series in seven games to the Cincinnati Reds. Hall of Famers Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice, and Carl Yastrzemski were some of the 1970s stars with Boston. The blue satin shell has the Red Sox chenille logo sewn on left chest area. The trim is in red, white, and blue. There is a size 40 tag inside pocket, and the tag also shows an 85% reprocessed wool, with a lining of 42% knit and 58% cotton. Seven blue metal snaps run down the front. There is no player name or player number indicated on the jacket. The jacket is team-issued; this is what the players wore. The jacket shows use, but it is still in overall nice condition.
