A brown Louisville Slugger professional model bat used either by Hall of Famer Lefty O'Doul or another player, likely during the 1933 season. The 35" long, 31.1 ounce bat shows extensive use including a crack in the handle and ball strikes throughout the barrel. The lot will include a Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA verifying the item. The service has also assigned the bat a grade of GU 7. O'Doul was one of the best players of his day, leading the league in hitting twice and compiling a career batting average of .349. He would go on to become the manager of the San Francisco Seals baseball team in the PCL and is also credited with helping to popularize the sport in the country of Japan. As a result, he was named to the Japanese Baseball of Fame in 2002.
