Baseball signed in black fountain pen by twenty-four members of the 1939 World Champion New York Yankees, including DiMaggio, Ruffing (sweet spot), Gomez, Dickey, Gordon, Keller, Knickerbocker, Chandler, Hildebrand, Rolfe, Dahlgren, Donald, Russo, Murphy, Hadley, Powell, Henrich, Schreiber (coach), Crosetti, Selkirk, Jorgens, Sundra, Rosar, and Pearson. (The additional signature of Lou Gehrig has been deemed a clubhouse example by PSA.) The signatures average 6/10. The manufacturer's stampings are no longer legible and the ball is moderately toned/soiled, with several small light-to-moderate abrasions. Good to Very Good condition overall. 1939 was a historic season in franchise history, as it marked the club's then-record fourth consecutive World Championship, as well as Gehrig's final season with the team.
