A Detroit Tigers jersey worn by star catcher Bill Freehan during the 1974 season. The garment is white with a navy D logo and lettering. The jersey shows tremendous wear including dirt stains and loose stitching. The collar tag notes that the jersey was made by Wilson and is a size 46. The front tail tag reads - 74 Set 46. Freehan was the premier catcher in the American League through the 1960s and '70s, making 11 All-Star teams. The career Tiger, who also won five Gold Glove Awards, passed away in 2021 after a battle with Alzheimer's disease.
