Presented is a 1970s Carlton Fisk Type I photo collection (2). The Hall of Fame catcher played 24 Major League seasons: Boston Red Sox (1969 & 1971-80) and Chicago White Sox (1981-93). Fisk, known as "Pudge" and "The Commander," hit .269 lifetime, with 376 home runs and 2,356 hits. He was an 11-time All-Star and a 3-time Silver Slugger. He is best known for his 12th-inning walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, a shot that hit the left field foul pole, now known as the Fisk Pole. The Fisk photos: 1) An approx. 8x10" black & white photo, apparently during pregame batting or "infield" at Fenway Park when he was on the Red Sox. Fisk still has his shin guards on, but his chest protector is off. Various equipment, such as gloves, bats, and helmets are strewn about on the grass. The photo has a very wide right margin. This photo has been encapsulated and PSA Certified (#85283422) as Type I AUTHENTIC. 2) This 8x10" photo depicts Fisk, chest protector and batting helmet on, but without a mask. This photo also has an extra wide right margin. The photo has been encapsulated and PSA Certified as Type I AUTHENTIC (#85283423). Both photos exhibit some very slight foxing but are in otherwise excellent condition.
