Hawthorne Wingo game used New York Knicks jersey photo-matched to the 1976 season. The white jersey features orange lettering and orange and blue trim with New York, Wingo's name, and the number 43 (front and reverse) stitched on. The front tail tag shows that the jersey was made by Gerry Cosby and Sand-Knit and is a size 46. Matched to undated image vs 76ers (Getty 911222408) but we believe it is an October 1st, 1976, preseason game, as one can see Mo Layton in the background. He only played on the Knicks in 1976, but Wingo was waived by the Knicks on October 8th of 1976. Also photo-matched to a 1976 team photo which includes displayed substantial wear with loose stitches and stains throughout. The garment was provided by the player's agent. Wingo, a reserve player for the Knicks from 1972-76, was a fan-favorite and won an NBA Championship with the 1973 team. Comes with Davious Photo-Matched LOA.
