Brooks Robinson Adirondack pro-model (194B) bat specially produced for use in the 1966 All-Star Game, held at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The bat, which measures 34.5 inches and weighs 34 ounces, is not cracked and features the name "B. Robinson" stamped in block letters on the barrel, directly below which is stamped 1966 All Stars. The bat displays little-to-no use, but it appears that there was once a wrap of tape around a portion of the upper handle that has since been removed. Brooks Robinson played the entire game at third base for the American League during the 1966 Midsummer Classic, which was played in temperatures above 100 degrees. Robinson, however, seemed impervious to the heat that day, as he managed three hits in four at bats, including a triple, in the American League's 2-1 ten-inning loss. For his efforts, Robinson was named the game's Most Valuable Player, making him the first All-Star Game MVP from a losing team (the only other was Carl Yastrzemski in 1970). All-Star Game bats are rare and have always been highly prized by collectors, especially those issued to Hall of Fame players. Normally, only two All-Star Game bats were issued to each player for use in the All-Star Game, with some players, like Robinson, receiving, two each from both Adironack and H&B.
