A set of three (3) mushroom-style bats from the early 1900s. The first, 36" long, is brown in color and reads Globe on the barrel. The second, 34" long and natural in color, is made by Spalding and reads SPALDING MUSHROOM close to the barrel. The third is also natural in color, 33" in length, and reads Reach Trade Mark No. 2 M Pat. Aug 1 '06. These bats were very popular for hitters of this time period. The mushroom-shaped cap on the knob was meant to balance out the bat by creating a counterbalance with the heavier barrel.
