1986 Trevor Berbick fight worn gloves vs. Mike Tyson. Pair of Everlast boxing gloves worn by Trevor Berbick during his fight with Mike Tyson on November 22, 1986. Billed as Judgement Day, the highly anticipated fight was for the WBC heavyweight championship. Berbick was defending his title against "Iron" Mike Tyson in Las Vegas. A twenty-year-old Tyson stopped Berbick with a second-round TKO to win the title and improve his record to 28-0, while Berbick dropped to 31-5-1. The red leather gloves have the Everlast patch sewn in at the wrists. The white laces of the gloves have been cut as is customary after a fight. However, the knots of the laces remain present. Light residue near the wrist areas is present from the athletic tape that was wrapped on them during the fight. The inside of each glove is marked with a "1" and "Trevor Berbick." These one-of-a-kind gloves were acquired directly from Steve Lott, the assistant manager of Mike Tyson from the time he turned pro, up to and including his fight with Michael Spinks. An LOA signed by Lott, and video documentation of the fight are included with these gloves.
