A pair of boxing gloves used by little person Billy Barty in a 1931 Mickey McGuire movie that also starred Mickey Rooney. The small leather boxing gloves, personally worn by the actor, are well worn and in some places worn through the the horsehair stuffing. Each glove is 6.5" long and 4" wide (5" to the thumb). Included with the lot is a letter from Barty to collector Ted Gregory. Barty would have a 73-year career in film and television, appearing in shows like The Brady Bunch, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, The Love Boat, and Little House on the Prairie. Also an activist, Barty passed away in 2000 at the age of 76.
