Mark McLemore's versatility eventually earned him the nickname of "Supersub," but even prior to his earning his nickname, he was thriving in a variety of positional roles. Presented is a 1994 Mark McLemore Baltimore Orioles game used jersey. McLemore played 19 Major League seasons, from 1986-2004, for seven different teams. He was with the Baltimore Orioles from 1992-94. McLemore was mainly used as a second baseman, outfielder, or third baseman. In 2001, when he was on the Seattle Mariners' 116-win team, manager Lou Piniella used McLemore at second, short, and third as well as all three outfield positions, and McLemore earned his Supersub moniker by hitting .286, with 39 steals. In '94, McLemore batted .257 with 20 steals for Baltimore as the Orioles finished in second place in the AL East in the strike-shortened season. The offered white, home jersey has Orioles across the chest, in sewn-on orange script with black trim. beneath the team's name is 2 in an orange sewn-on numeral with black trim. On the outside, left tail are the following tags: Russell Athletic manufacturer's tag; Diamond Collection (MLB) tag showing size 44; 2 MC LEMORE 94-2, indicating McLemore's name and number and that the jersey was of the second set issued in '94; 100% Polyester. Six silver-white buttons go down the front. The back has a white sewn-on nameplate, with McLEMORE in orange sewn-on letters with black trim. Below the nameplate is 2 in an orange sewn-on numeral with black trim. The right sleeve has an MLB 125th Anniversary patch and a Russell Athletic sewn-on logo. The jersey exhibits good wear. It has some very small, light stains, and a horizontal indentation about an inch long, on the front, and numerous loose threads. Overall, despite these minor imperfections, the jersey is in nice condition.
