Official Wilson NFL game-used football, dating from O.J. Simpson's historic 1975 season, signed by Simpson in black marker. Simpson has inscribed the ball, "To Hal/O. J. Simpson/'Peace'" with both the text and signature grading "9." Simpson recorded career highs in both total yardage (2,243) and touchdowns (23) in 1975, with the latter total setting a then-single-season record for total touchdowns. According to oral history, this ball was used by Simpson when scoring his record-setting 23rd touchdown, which he then later inscribed and gave to teammate Halvor Hagen, but no written documentation accompanies it. However, the double markings of "H H" on the ball clearly distinguish it as a ball produced by Wilson for NFL game use in 1975, and it would not have been available for retail purchase. The ball displays moderate wear commensurate with game use, including light soiling and a few minor abrasions, and is slightly deflated. Full LOA from JSA.
