Rare Chicago Bulls box office ticket stub, issued for the club's 1984 season opener on October 26th against the Washington Bullets at Chicago Stadium in which Michael Jordan made his NBA debut. Graded FR 1.5 by PSA. This is one of only eleven examples of this Chicago Bulls box office ticket stub listed in the PSA Population Report and it should not be confused with the more commonly seen Ticketron examples circulating in the hobby. The box office examples, which were issued by and purchased directly from the club, are far scarcer and have always been more highly prized by advanced collectors. The attendance total for the Bulls' 1984 home opener was 13,931. Even though Jordan was a heralded rookie, few fans present that night could imagine that they would be witness to the start of what would be the greatest career in NBA history. As such, it's not surprising that most fans did not retain their ticket stubs, thereby leaving collectors with just a handful of examples to fight over today. Jordan played a game-high 40 minutes in his NBA debut, scoring 16 points with 7 assists and 6 rebounds in the Bulls' 109-93 win over the Bullets. The ticket stub (3.75x2") displays a few light creases and a pinhole near the left border, but it is closer to Excellent in its overall appearance.
