A game-used NBA basketball from the game where Shaquille O'Neal scored his 18,000th career point. The item, an official ball (David Stern Commissioner) was used in the March 3rd, 2002 game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets. The basketball has been hand painted by Mario Araujo. The painted portion includes O'Neal's name and number with a Superman logo in between as well as Lakers and Rockets logos. The inscription in the painted portion reads: 18,000th Career Point, the date, March 3rd, 2002, and the score, Lakers 95 - Rockets 79. The bladder in the basketball, from O'Neal's personal collection, does not hold air. O'Neal, who currently ranks 5th on the NBA's all-time leading scorer list with 8,098 points, had 36 points in the March 3rd, 2002 game, adding 14 rebounds and 7 assists.
