Official American League (Harridge) baseball signed in black fountain pen by twenty-eight members of the 1947 World Champion New York Yankees, including DiMaggio (diagonally on a portion of the sweet spot), Rizzuto, Berra, Keller, Henrich, Silvera, Reynolds, Bevens, Houk, Russo, Etten, D. Johnson, Gumpert, Lucadello, Brown, Niarhos, Colman, Shea, Drews, Byrne, McQuinn, Mack, B. Johnson, Mapes, Silvestri, Lindell (sweet spot), Kell, and Hiller. The ball has also been signed on the sweet spot by Hall of Fame outfielder Joe Medwick. The fact that Medwick's signature is on the ball, as well as a few players who did not make the Yankees official roster that season, including Hiller and Niarhos, indicates that the ball was signed during spring training. The signatures are all light, but legible, and grade 4/10 on average. The ball has been coated with a layer of protective shellac, to which there are a few tiny abrasions. Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from JSA.
