Circa 1991-93 George Brett game used bat is a Louisville Slugger model C271 with an extensive handle crack and another toward the trademark. Brett's name, and nickname has been stamped on the barrel "George "Lou" Brett". Our understanding is that this bat was involved in a fire and has been cleaned, thus removing much of the finish and some of the pine tar from the handle. Bat weighs 29 ounces and measures 33", and "LOU" is written on the knob in thick black marker. This bat dates from the tail end of Brett's tremendous 21-year Hall of Fame career, all spent as a beloved fixture with the Kansas City Royals.
