1968 Kansas City Chiefs vs. Minnesota Vikings hand-painted game ball was presented to Hall of Fame Chiefs coach Hank Stram. Official NFL The Duke football was used in the game, a preseason contest held on August 10, 1968. White-painted panel below the laces reads AUG. 10, 1968 on top, with nicely-done Chiefs and Vikings logos on either side and AFL/NFL logos painted in the center. Left bottom reads the final score, Kansas City 13, Minnesota 10. The second of four-straight preseason wins for the Chiefs, the August 10 contest was played at Minnesota's Metropolitan Stadium. Ball is slightly deflated but the beautiful painting and EX-MT condition make this a historic keepsake from the years leading up to the AFL/NFL merger, and the two teams noted on this ball proceeded to face off the following year in Super Bowl IV, with KC claiming a 23-7 win. This ball originally came from the Hank Stram family.
