1982-83 Jean Francois Sauve Rochester Americans game worn jersey is from the 4th Calder Cup (AHL Championship) season in franchise history. White home jersey has frayed Maska tag in collar with no size evident, though the enclosed LOA notes that it is size 50. Colorful Americans stars-and-stripes crest is across the chest, one blue-on-red tackle twill star is on each shoulder, and number 21 is on sleeves and back in same style. Name is on a plate in matching lettering above the rear number. Extensive wear displayed includes over two dozen team repairs, slash marks, and board marks throughout. After spending much of his first full NHL season in '81-82 with the parent Buffalo Sabres, J.F. finished 6th in the AHL in scoring, amassing 99 points in 73 games during the regular season, adding 28 postseason points to that impressive total. Despite standing at just 5'6", Sauve netted 65 goals in his relatively brief NHL career.
