1982-83 Yvon Lambert Rochester Americans game worn jersey dates from the Calder Cup-winning season, the championship trophy of the American Hockey League. Popular Americans stars-and-stripes shield logo is across the chest, with blue-on-red tackle twill star on each shoulder. Number 16 is on shoulders and back, name is on a plate above the rear number, all in the same style. Heavy wear is evident including slash marks, board marks, paint transfers, abrasions, and a handful of team repairs. Per the enclosed LOA, the jersey is size 50 though no tagging is evident, Maska logo is embroidered on tail. One of the many unsung heroes of the Montreal Canadiens dynasty era, Lambert was part of four straight Stanley Cup Championship teams before being traded to the Buffalo Sabres for his final NHL season in 1981-82. Unlike most established NHL players, he accepted an assignment to Rochester for his final two pro seasons, leading the Amerks to the aforementioned Calder Cup title in '82-83 and a return trip to the finals the following year. Included LOA is signed by Lambert, indicating that it came from his collection.
