Buffalo Braves home jersey worn by guard Ernie DiGregorio, dating circa 1974 as this style was worn in 1973-74 and 1974-75. Graded A8 by MEARS. The white knit jersey is lettered Braves across the front and features the number 15 on the front and reverse. "Ernie D" is lettered on the reverse, directly above the number. All front letters and numerals are applied in blue on black tackle twill. All reverse letters are applied in blue tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a Wilson 42 label and an adjacent flag tag, upon which is written 1" X LONG. The jersey is original as issued and displays light wear, including light stains on both the front and reverse. DiGregorio was selected third overall by the Buffalo Braves in the 1973 NBA draft and he lived up to his lofty expectations by winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award at season's end. Unfortunately, a knee injury prevented DiGregorio from reaching his full potential on the court. He played three more seasons with Buffalo before finishing his career with both Boston and Los Angeles in 1977/78. MEARS states the era as 1973-77 however, the Braves wore mesh jerseys with v-neck style after the 1974-75 season. Full LOA from MEARS (graded A8; 10 point base grade, with 2 points deducted for the light use).
