Circa 1977 Andre Savard Buffalo Sabres game worn jersey is all original with nice wear displayed. All original sweater has Rawlings size 44 and Dekdebrun tags in neck, collar drawstring is not present. Blue top with yellow trim has Sabres running buffalo/crossed swords circular crest across the chest, number 12 is on sleeves and back in yellow-on-white tackle twill. Name is sewn on a plate above the rear number in all yellow letters; per the enclosed MeiGray LOA, 1976-77, nameplates were added by the team in '76-77 only for nationally televised games and in the '77-78 season the nameplates became standard, helping narrow the time frame. Shows heavy wear with eight team repairs, pilling inside, abrasions and a few marks on the front crest. Savard was a talented two-way center who spent his first three NHL seasons with the Boston Bruins before being traded to Buffalo, where he played from 1976-77 to '82-83. He scored over 15 goals in a season 10 times, and did not have a negative +/- rating in any of his 12 campaigns.
