Rare, all original jersey dates to the 1976 season of the World Hockey Association's Phoenix Roadrunners, and was game worn by Mike Hobin. White home top has Rawlings size 48 tag in the collar, with some separation and shredding noted to the top right corner. Huge, ornate Roadrunner logo atop the outline of Arizona is on a crest across the chest, number 20 in all blue is on each sleeve, as well as on back in blue-on-yellow-and-blue; name in blue-on-yellow tackle twill letters is above the rear number. Nice use displayed includes pilling, paint transfers, and a team repair; metal clip style fight strap is inside. Long before the original Winnipeg Jets packed up and moved to Arizona to become the Coyotes, the Phoenix Roadrunners nickname was used for teams in the WHA (1973-77), CHL (1978-79), PHL (1977-79), and IHL (1979-87). Hobin played during two seasons with the WHA version ('75-76, '76-77), appearing in 77 games while scoring 18 goals and totaling 37 points. The franchise folded before the 1979 merger with the National Hockey League.
