Landis' signature has been scripted in black ink across the sweet spot and grades 3.5/10. Ankenman's signature, scripted in blue fountain pen (grading 6/10), is located on the panel directly above the sweet spot. The stamped facsimile signature of Texas League commissioner J. Doak Roberts appears on a separate side panel, indicating that this ball was produced for use in Texas League games between the years 1920 and 1929 (the years of Roberts' tenure as league president).
