Elston Howard H&B signature model (K55) game used bat dating from the 1965-67 manufacturing period. Graded GU 7 by PSA. The bat, which measures 36 inches and weighs 34 ounces, is not cracked and displays light use. Howard's uniform number (32) is written in black marker on both the knob and top of the barrel. The bat's original factory weight (35 1/2) is written in pencil on the knob. The three-year span 1965 to 1967 marked Howard's final three seasons with the Yankees. Howard was the first African American to play with the Yankees, joining the club in 1955. A former American League MVP and nine-time All Star, Howard later enjoyed a long coaching tenure with the club. His uniform number was officially retired by the Yankees in 1984.
