Collection of three glass plate negatives picturing the George Washington Bridge prior to its official opening on October 25, 1931. Two (5x4") picture firefighters putting out a fire on the bridge. Each of those negatives is housed in a sleeve bearing the date "2/5/31." The other negative (4x6") pictures work on the roadway approaching the bridge (New York side). Each negative displays small areas of emulsion loss along the borders.
