Glass plate duplicate negative of Christy Matheson that features the very same image used in the production of his 1910 Red Border Notebook card. Mathewson is pictured as a member of the New York Giants as he warms up on the sideline prior to a game. It should be noted that while the image of Mathewson seen here was used for the illustration on the card, the background scene was changed by the artist. The negative (5x7") displays strips of black tape applied to all four sides of the front that serve to more closely border Mathewson's image; otherwise, it remains in Excellent condition.
