Presented is a pin collection that includes three all-time African American sports idols: 1) This 1.75" diameter black and white pin, circa 1947, reads, I'M ROOTING FOR JACKIE ROBINSON, and it includes a photo of Robinson in a Brooklyn Dodgers jersey and cap, and the attached charms of a baseball glove and a baseball; 2) A 3" diameter pin with a black & white photo of Muhammad Ali against a red, white, and blue flag and USA image, which reads, FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY/STING LIKE A BEE - ALI; 3) A circa 1930s-40s 1.75" diameter pin with a black & white image of Joe Louis, which reads, Joe Louis WORLD'S CHAMPION. The pins show some darkening and also some lightening, as in the blue ribbon on the Robinson pin fading to purple, but the pins are in nice condition for their age.
