Original Type I photograph of Detroit Tigers Hall of Fame outfielder Sam Crawford, taken by noted baseball photographer George Grantham Baine, later used in the production of Crawford's 1910 Washington Times card. Crawford is pictured in uniform while warming up on the sideline. Bain's credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with a date stamp reading Oct 8 1909. (October 8th was the date of the first game of the 1909 World Series between the Tigers and the Pittsburgh Pirates.) Crawford's name has been written in black ink along the top of the photo, and both his last name and team affiliation are written in pencil on the reverse. The photo (3.75x6"), which has been trimmed to its current dimensions, displays moderate creasing, small tears along the top border, and complete editorial outlining to Crawford's image. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA.
