Thurman Munson New York Yankees game used bat is an Adirondack model 257A dating from the 1976 labeling period, however it does not include the Bicentennial barrel stamp. Excellent use displayed includes a handle crack, slight checking to the barrel, and general wear. Measures 35" and weighs 35.2 ounces, and is ash with a flame-burned finish, number 15 is written on the knob in black marker and model number is stamped. This bat was obtained in 1976, the season in which Munson posted 105 RBI and a .302 average, enough to earn that year's American League Most Valuable Player honor. Though he played just 11 seasons before his life tragically ended in a 1979 plane crash, Thurman Munson left an indelible mark on one of the most storied franchises in professional sports history. Comes with PSA/DNA LOA grading this beauty a GU 9.
