Exceedingly rare prototype uniform from a team that never was - the 1995 NFL expansion "St. Louis Stallions." With the NFL announcing its expansion for '95, various markets were able to submit proposals, one of which was St. Louis, a major market without a team since the football Cardinals headed to Arizona in 1987. Two jerseys are included - bold purple jersey has gold and white highlights with Stallions' horse-head logo screened on each sleeve. Number 95 (matching the year) is sewn on each shoulder in white, and screened on front and back in gold-on-purple-and-white. Champion size 44 tag is on front tail and "100% Nylon" tag is stitched to inside seam. White jersey has purple sleeves with white sewn-on numbers, screened in purple-on-gold on front and back - same tagging and logos present. Gold pants with purple stripes have Stallions horse-head patch sewn to each hip; purple belt has Champion size 36 tag attached (gold-colored drawstring/shoelace is still present). As history played out, St. Louis was a finalist but missed out on the expansion - the Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers were welcomed to the league - but the "Gateway to the West" had other options, welcoming the former Los Angeles Rams to the midwest that season, where they played as the St. Louis Rams from 1995-2015. Extremely rare set is in NM condition.
