The signatures were written in blue ink from a steel-tip fountain pen. Hall of Famers: Jackie Robinson, Manager Leo Durocher, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, and Gil Hodges. Key signatures: coach Jake Pitler, E. Dyer, Carl Furillo, and Ralph Branca. Also, John 'Spider" Jorgensen, Bruce Edwards, Gene Hermanski, and more. The 1948 Dodgers finished in third place in the National League with an 84-70-1 record. They had three managers: Leo Durocher for the first half of the season, Ray Blades for one game, and Burt Shotton for the second half of the campaign.
