The plaque features both the Chevrolet Motors Division and NCAA emblems affixed at the top and reads, in part: "Presented to the University of Pittsburgh as permanent affirmation of an award to the general scholarship fund supporting student efforts in all curricula because Tony Dorsett earned offensive player of the week honors Pittsburgh at Penn State November 23, 1976." The wooden plaque, with metallic facing, displays moderate-to-heavy wear, including chipping and foam residue on the side of the front base and heavy scratches and abrasions on the reverse.
